Toledo Police investigate bomb threat at Toledo Zoo, officials say property has been cleared and deemed safe

Toledo, OH – The Toledo Police Department responded to a bomb threat involving the Toledo Zoo on Sunday morning, leading officers to conduct a thorough search of the property.

According to police, officers were dispatched at approximately 10:02 a.m. after the threat was reported by Ohio State University Police. Responding officers arrived at the zoo and began an extensive search of the grounds to determine whether any danger existed.

Authorities said no hazardous devices, explosives, or other credible threats were found during the investigation.

Police reported that no injuries occurred and no arrests had been made as of Sunday afternoon. Following the search, the area was cleared and deemed safe for the public.
