Toledo, OH – The Toledo Fire & Rescue Department held its annual Firefighters Memorial Service this week, bringing together community members, department personnel, and guests to honor firefighters who lost their lives in the line of duty.
The ceremony served as a time of remembrance for those who made the ultimate sacrifice while serving and protecting the community. Department officials expressed their gratitude to everyone who attended and helped pay tribute to the fallen firefighters.
The department also recognized State Fire Marshal Kevin S. Reardon, who served as the event’s guest speaker and shared remarks during the memorial service.
In addition, officials thanked Jeff Worthen for performing a trumpet rendition of “Taps” and Michael Coon for singing the National Anthem. Both performances were highlighted as meaningful contributions to the ceremony.
The Toledo Fire & Rescue Department said it appreciates everyone who helped make the memorial service possible and joined in honoring the legacy and sacrifice of the firefighters remembered during the event.
