TOLEDO, Ohio — A Toledo man has been arrested following an alleged robbery and assault at a local Shell gas station on Saturday morning. Tyrell Schular, 28, entered the gas station around 10:37 a.m. and began taking several cans of alcohol, according to police.
Surveillance footage showed the suspect stealing the items, prompting the store employee to confront him.

While the victim was on the ground, Schular allegedly punched her multiple times in the head before fleeing the scene with a can of stolen alcohol.
The victim was later transported to a local hospital to receive treatment for her injuries. She was reportedly injured but is expected to recover. Following the assault, Schular was identified by investigators and admitted to the crime during an interview with detectives. He was arrested later in the day. Schular has been charged with felonious assault and aggravated robbery. He is scheduled to be arraigned in court on Monday morning.
Authorities have not released further details about the victim’s condition or the full extent of her injuries.
The case remains under investigation.
