Toledo Man Arrested for Pistol Whipping Woman, Shooting Her Brother Posts Bond

TOLEDO, Ohio — A Toledo man accused of assaulting a woman and shooting her brother has been released on bond, according to court records.

Jajuan Jones, 46, was arrested Saturday after police issued a warrant following an incident late Friday night. Authorities say Jones allegedly pistol whipped a woman after an argument, prompting her brother to intervene. During the confrontation, Jones reportedly shot the man once in the left thigh.

Jones was charged with felonious assault and booked at the Lucas County Jail. A judge set his bond at $100,000 with no percentage option, and ordered Jones to have no contact with the victims.

Later the same day, Jones posted bond and was released. He is scheduled to appear in Toledo Municipal Court on Tuesday.
