TOLEDO, Ohio – A fire caused significant damage to a home on Packard Road late Thursday evening, though no injuries were reported.
According to officials at the scene, the fire is believed to have originated in the rear portion of the house, near the bathroom. Firefighters arrived quickly and were able to contain and extinguish the flames before they spread further.
The home was unoccupied at the time of the fire, authorities said. While the structure remains intact, the interior sustained extensive smoke damage. Officials have deemed the home uninhabitable for the time being.
One adult, who is associated with the residence, may be displaced as a result of the damage.
The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
