Imagination Station in Toledo Reopens After Water Main Break, New Exhibit to Open

Toledo, Ohio – Imagination Station will reopen its doors on Wednesday, February 19, following a weeks-long closure due to a water main break. The popular science center, known for its interactive exhibits and educational programs, was forced to suspend operations while repairs were made to restore water service to the building.

A spokesperson for the facility confirmed that the science center will resume regular hours, opening at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday. Additionally, Barry Bagels, a local eatery located within the center, will begin serving lunch at noon.

“We sincerely appreciate the patience and understanding of our members and community during this closure,” said Lori Hauser, CEO of Imagination Station, in a statement. Hauser also expressed gratitude to the City of Toledo, Kokosing, and the workers who played a key role in restoring the water supply.

The closure also delayed the debut of the center’s newest exhibit, HOCKEY: Faster Than Ever, which was originally scheduled to open during the downtime. The exhibit, which explores the science and speed behind the sport of hockey, will now be available for public viewing starting Wednesday.

To mark the exhibit’s grand opening, Imagination Station will be giving away rally towels to the first 250 visitors each day this upcoming weekend, Saturday, February 22, and Sunday, February 23.

The reopening of Imagination Station marks the end of a challenging period for the science center, which is now ready to resume its mission of inspiring curiosity and learning for visitors of all ages.
