Toledo, Ohio – A 41-year-old man was arrested early Sunday morning after allegedly firing a gun at a woman during a domestic dispute while holding a toddler in his arms. The incident occurred around 5 a.m. when officers responded to a disturbance call in the area.
According to Toledo Police, Jemarr Koger, who has a prior felony conviction, was involved in a heated argument with the woman when the altercation escalated. Authorities say Koger fired a gun at the woman, with the child still in his arms at the time of the incident.
Police reports indicate that Koger’s criminal history prevents him from legally possessing a firearm. He now faces multiple charges, including domestic violence and firearm-related offenses.
The toddler, whose safety is still under investigation, was unharmed during the confrontation. Police were able to apprehend Koger and take him into custody without further incident. He was booked into the Lucas County Jail.
Koger is set to be arraigned on Monday morning. Authorities have yet to release additional details about the ongoing investigation or the status of the victim involved in the incident.
