SANDUSKY COUNTY, Ohio – Six people were injured Wednesday evening in a crash that occurred just before 6 p.m. on US 20 near milepost 12 in Washington Township.
According to the Ohio State Highway Patrol (OSHP), the collision involved two vehicles. A 25-year-old driver from Woodville was pulling out of a private drive when their vehicle was struck by a Dodge Grand Caravan traveling westbound on US 20. The car driven by the 25-year-old contained a one-year-old child at the time of the crash.
Both the driver and the child were transported to Saint Vincent’s Medical Center in Toledo, where they are reported to be in stable condition.
The second vehicle, a Dodge Grand Caravan, carried four occupants, including two adults and two children. The driver of the Caravan sustained minor injuries but declined medical treatment at the scene. The other three passengers were taken to the hospital for further evaluation. They are also reported to be in stable condition.
The OSHP has stated that there is no indication of alcohol or drugs being involved in the incident. The cause of the crash is still under investigation.
Authorities are continuing to gather information on the circumstances surrounding the crash.
