BOWLING GREEN, Ohio — A 23-year-old woman from Wood County is facing serious charges, including drug trafficking and involuntary manslaughter, after allegedly playing a role in the overdose death of a 26-year-old woman in 2023.
Caitlyn Henry, of Risingsun, was indicted in December 2024 on several charges related to what the Wood County Prosecutor’s Office described as a “substantial drug trafficking operation” involving methamphetamine and fentanyl-related compounds.
The charges stem from an incident in July 2023, when 26-year-old Jordan Holbrook fatally overdosed at Henry’s home. According to a police report from the Wood County Sheriff’s Office, deputies discovered prescription bottles, various pills, Narcan, and burnt tin foil inside the residence during their investigation. These findings were key in linking Henry to the overdose death.
Henry now faces six charges: aggravated drug trafficking, aggravated possession of drugs, trafficking a fentanyl-related compound, possession of a fentanyl-related compound, permitting drug abuse, and involuntary manslaughter.
On January 8, 2025, Henry was booked into the Wood County Jail, with her bond set at $10,000. Authorities have yet to release further details regarding the investigation, but they continue to urge the public to report any information related to illegal drug activity in the area.
The case highlights ongoing concerns about the opioid crisis, with fentanyl-related overdoses continuing to impact communities across the state.
Henry’s arraignment is scheduled for later this month.
