An Omaha woman who died when she was hit by a truck on Interstate 80 was most likely taking a shortcut to a friend’s home, her father said Monday. Austin “Bella” Tierney, 23, of Omaha, was struck at 4:10 a.m. Thursday just east of 60th Street in the westbound lanes of I-80, according to an Omaha police spokesman. She was pronounced dead at the scene.
