PORTAGE TOWNSHIP, Ohio — A 24-year-old woman died Thursday after losing control of her vehicle on Interstate 75 in Portage Township.
According to a press release from the Ohio State Highway Patrol (OSHP), Makayla Lee was driving northbound on I-75 when her car veered off the right side of the roadway. The vehicle then flipped multiple times before coming to rest.
Authorities reported that Lee was not wearing a seat belt at the time of the crash and was ejected from the vehicle. She was pronounced dead at the scene.
The OSHP is currently investigating the circumstances surrounding the crash.
