TOLEDO, Ohio — Two individuals sustained life-threatening injuries and a third was hurt but expected to survive after a collision on the Anthony Wayne Trail near Sherwood Avenue Tuesday evening.
According to officials at the scene, the crash occurred around 8 p.m. involving two vehicles: a black car and a white car. Two people inside the black vehicle were critically injured, while the driver of the white car, a man, suffered non-life-threatening injuries.
All three victims were transported to the University of Toledo Medical Center for emergency treatment. Authorities have not yet released further details regarding the cause of the crash or the identities of those involved.
Emergency responders were on the scene promptly, and the investigation into the incident remains ongoing.
