Toledo, OHIO — A 68-year-old woman from Toledo, Ohio, tragically lost her life Wednesday morning following a single-vehicle crash in Lenawee County.
According to the Lenawee County Sheriff’s Office, deputies were called to the scene at 5:41 a.m. after a passing motorist discovered a vehicle in a deep ditch on the 12000 block of Loar Highway in Ogden Township.
Preliminary investigation revealed that the woman had been turning around after pulling into a driveway when she accidentally backed her vehicle into the ditch. Despite the vehicle sustaining only minor damage, the woman lost consciousness after being removed from the car, authorities reported. She was later pronounced dead at the scene.
The sheriff’s office continues to investigate the circumstances surrounding the crash, but no foul play is suspected.
