Toledo Man Arrested After Leading Police on High-Speed Chase in Icy Conditions

TOLEDO, Ohio — A Toledo man found himself behind bars this Valentine’s Day after leading police on a high-speed chase through icy streets.

Nathan Allen Miller, 35, of Toledo, was arrested and booked into the Lucas County Jail early on the morning of February 14, following a dangerous pursuit. According to court documents, an officer initially attempted to pull Miller over for a window tint violation. However, instead of stopping, Miller accelerated and led officers on a high-speed chase through Toledo.

Police reported that Miller lost control of his vehicle multiple times during the pursuit, sliding off the road several times as he navigated icy conditions. The chase ended when Miller abandoned his vehicle on Langdon Street, near Western Avenue and the Anthony Wayne Trail, and attempted to flee on foot.

After a brief foot pursuit, officers apprehended Miller and took him into custody. He faces several charges, including felony fleeing and eluding, obstructing official business, and resisting arrest. A judge set his bond at $20,000, and Miller is scheduled to appear in court again on February 18.

The incident serves as a stark reminder of the dangers posed by high-speed chases, especially during winter conditions, and highlights the risks involved when drivers attempt to evade law enforcement.
