WHITEHOUSE, Ohio – A minivan crashed into the attached garage of a home in Whitehouse on Saturday night, but fortunately, no one was injured in the incident.
According to police, the driver, a woman, was traveling in the area of Finzel Road and Dutch Road when her foot accidentally slipped off the brake pedal and hit the accelerator. The minivan collided with the garage with such force that it pushed a recently purchased vehicle inside the garage through the back wall.
At the time of the crash, two children were in the minivan, though authorities confirmed there were no injuries. Toledo Fire Urban Search and Rescue teams responded to ensure the structural integrity of the home was not compromised.
Remarkably, this was not the first time the house had been impacted by a car. Family members and police reported that a drunk driver had crashed into the same residence approximately 20 years ago.
No further details regarding the extent of the damage to the home have been released, but the incident remains under investigation by local authorities.
