TOLEDO, Ohio — A deadly shooting early Saturday morning claimed the life of a Toledo man outside a local bar, according to police reports.
The incident occurred around 2:00 a.m. on May 31 in front of The Polish Ostrich Bar on Phillips Avenue. The victim, identified as 37-year-old Robert Boone, was shot and later died from his injuries at a nearby hospital, the Toledo Police Department (TPD) confirmed.
Authorities apprehended 29-year-old Amod Dawson at a residence in Toledo in connection with the shooting. Dawson is currently held in Lucas County on charges of murder and felonious assault.
