Findlay Police Investigate Death of Woman, Injuries to Man in Domestic Incident

Findlay, Ohio – A 45-year-old man is in custody after a woman was found dead and a man was discovered with multiple injuries at a residence on Lester Avenue in Findlay on Wednesday.

According to the Findlay Police Department, officers responded to a call reporting a deceased woman outside a home at 404 Lester Ave. Upon arrival, officers found 76-year-old Kathleen Spiegel deceased on the front porch of the residence.

While investigating the scene, authorities discovered a 50-year-old man inside the home, suffering from multiple stab wounds to the head and face. He was transported to a nearby hospital, where his injuries were deemed non-life-threatening. The man is reportedly in stable condition.

David Spiegel, 45, was arrested at the scene and charged with domestic violence. He is currently being held in custody as the investigation continues. Police have stated that an autopsy has been ordered for Kathleen Spiegel, and additional charges may be forthcoming.

While the investigation is ongoing, police have clarified that they do not suspect foul play in the death of Kathleen Spiegel at this time.
