WOOD COUNTY, OHIO — A 27-year-old Deshler man was killed in a crash Thursday on State Route 25 at U.S. Route 6. The Wood County Sheriff’s Office confirmed that Aldin Isaiah Zane Wright was driving east on Route 6 when he attempted to turn onto State Route 25.
Authorities report that Wright failed to yield the right of way while making the turn, which resulted in a collision with a 2022 Kenworth T680 truck traveling north on Route 25. Wright was pronounced dead at the scene by emergency responders. The driver of the truck, whose identity has not been disclosed, was transported to a nearby hospital for medical treatment.
The cause of the crash remains under investigation by the Wood County Sheriff’s Office. At this time, authorities have not released further details regarding the circumstances of the incident.
The crash is the latest in a series of tragic accidents on the roads of Wood County, and local officials are urging motorists to exercise caution while driving, particularly when navigating busy intersections.
