Toledo Man Arrested After Crime Spree Involving Shooting, Carjacking, and Police Chase

Toledo, Ohio – A Toledo man is behind bars following a violent crime spree early Sunday morning, which police say involved a shooting, a carjacking, and a high-speed chase. Marcus Lavell Page, 34, was arrested around 11:30 a.m., shortly after committing the series of crimes.

According to police reports, the crime spree began at approximately 11:19 a.m. when Page allegedly robbed a man and his girlfriend while they were sitting in a vehicle. Police say Page pointed a gun at the couple and demanded their phones. As the male victim attempted to flee, Page allegedly shot him in the backside.

After the shooting, Page is said to have fled the scene and, just minutes later, carjacked another victim. At around 11:23 a.m., police say Page approached a man in the area, pointed a gun at him, and demanded his keys. The victim complied, and Page drove off in the stolen vehicle.

Authorities quickly responded, attempting to stop Page in the stolen car at 11:26 a.m. However, Page refused to pull over, leading police on a high-speed pursuit through the city. During the chase, police say Page threw the weapon used in the robberies out of the window. Investigators later located the discarded gun and determined it had been stolen.

Page was taken into custody around 11:30 a.m. and faces a range of serious charges, including aggravated robbery, felonious assault, and fleeing from law enforcement. He is expected to be arraigned on Monday morning.

The police investigation remains ongoing, and authorities are working to gather more information surrounding the incident. In the meantime, Page remains in jail awaiting further legal proceedings.
