Toledo, OHIO – A trooper with the Ohio State Highway Patrol has been placed on unpaid leave after allegedly crashing her patrol car while impaired. Trooper Tashawna Berry, who was on duty at the time, was involved in the incident on February 8 around 7 p.m. while traveling on State Route 601 in Huron County.
According to authorities, Berry drove off the road, striking a utility pole before crashing into a tree. The crash prompted an investigation, and Berry has since been charged with operating a vehicle impaired (OVI), failure to control, driving while texting, and improper handling of a firearm.
